Audio Materials per 1,000 population, 1991-2002

Abstract

The smaller the library the audio materials for each 1,000 served. All increased by this measure but the smallest grew by the greatest percentage. It would appear that the fewer the materials a library has, the more they have per person in the service area. The Rank Order Table for 2002 cited just below shows that there is a state component to this number. Ohio has almost 318 while Arkansas has almost 49. This is probably the result of conscious policy.

There is a Rank Order Table for this variable in 2002 and a summary table of the ranks by state from 1992-2002.
